I have a application database hosted on server side which has 'account information' table for all my handheld users. They store their usernm and password in this table along with a GUID as a primary key
Now I am adding a Drupal website in the scene, and expect that all users creating a account on my Drupal site should have access to the handhelds also.
Not getting a single clue on how to do this.

Is it the best approach if I add some custom code in Drupal 'create account' or 'login' pages and insert/lock records from my application servers database? If yes then what is the best place to insert such a code in Drupal?

I've been reviewing various photo gallery modules and there are many easy and user friendly one out there. However, I'm not finding any that can clearly make hi-res images available for download via a thumbnail. We want to put material with our news announcements that media sources can download and use in print. Many modules require one to actually view the giant image, which is not desired. I want to show maybe two or three images with at news release and allow the hi-res version to be downloaded from there or from a caption. But my client must be able to manage these images without having to do manual image manipulation. needs to be clean and simple.

Anyone have any suggestions? I can work with modules, have managed setting up some Views features, but I am by no means a PHP guy or developer.

Detta är en CCK-nöt jag inte lyckats knäcka än. Kanske nån har en idé?

Det finns lägen när man vill att en nod ska visas olika, beroende på värdet i vissa av dess fält. T.ex., anta att man har en "kritisk"-flagga i en typ. Om skribenten sätter denna flagga ska beskrivningen visas med röd text.

En lösning jag har funderat på vore om det fanns ett CCK-fält som genererar en CSS-klass för vår nod. Alltså, t.ex. om värdet på "kritisk" är "ja", så sätts "class=critical" på hela nod-wrappern. Finns det? Annars kanske man kan skriva en custom template-fil, men det känns lite mindre generellt.

En utökning av problemet vore att flaggan styr om man ska visa en stor eller en liten bild, dvs låta data styra vilken ImageCache preset som ska användas för en viss nod. Här har jag inte så många idéer alls...

For now it's only the theme with one of the designs, but I intend to add color module support and if I have enough time and help add the interface for transparent pngs for the "styles" mentioned in the proposal.

Maybe this theme will also be completely rewritten using Fusion or maybe another Base theme.

If you have any input for what base theme you would like to see used or maybe a feature you would like to see please add an issue.

Det här är antagligen något jätteklassiskt fel jag gjort. Men jag har sökt på det och inte hittat något bra svar som jag greppat.
Jag försöker installera 6.14 på one.com.
Jag har tankat upp alla filer till en mapp som jag kallat cms på servern och försöker sedan köra installationen.
Den säger åt mig att skapa en settings.php.
Jag döper då om default.settings.php till enbart settings.php och ger fulla skrivrättigheter till den.
När jag sedan blir ombed att skriva in inställningarna för databasen så gör jag det och trycker på "save and continue"... Och längre än så kommer jag inte.
Jag kommer tillbaka till samma sida igen.

I have several fields set up in Profiles and Discovered the Values are not stored in the Profile_values table, but in the users table in the data field.

Why is this?

I had a routine that got the userid from the profiles_values field based on a Field Number and the value field.

Now it appears that I have to rewrite these.

Help me understand this.

I work for a news publication and we need a better solution for online payments.

The current system is a hand-made php application that takes the user account number, then credit card information, and payment amount.

I have looked into UberCart and like what i see, however, in order to add a product, it seems the price must be set per product, where as with our subscribers, the amount will differ.

Is there another commerce solution that will allow the user to dictate the amount of their payment, or is this functionality available in ubercart?

I have a drupal site that I want to move to another server. What is the best way to go about this?
It is not a live site, it is a dev site.

About Mail Comment

This is a gateway module for responding to posts via email. It links outgoing notifications emails with incoming email responses using a combination of mail parameters and digital signatures.

When enabled, it adds to outgoing notifications emails a message that looks like:

Then the receiver just needs to reply to the mail and the text above will be posted to the original thread as a comment.

Drupals grundare och ledutvecklare Dries Buytaert skriver i sin blogg om Drupal 8.

Vaddå Drupal 8, kanske du tänker. Drupal 7 har ju inte släppts ännu? Nej, det är sant, och Dries tankar verkar än så länge vara tämligen breda och ospecifika. Men vad han tänker (och skriver) om Drupals framtid kommer att påverka rätt mycket, även innan Drupal 8 kommer ut.

Fokus i Drupal 8-utvecklingen verkar ligga (1) på att utveckla Drupal som en produkt, och (2) på att utveckla Drupal som ett ramverk. En nyhet är att han tänker utse två co-maintainers (istället för en, som är det vanliga) för att kunna driva Drupal både som produkt och ramverk.
En annan nyhet som en del utvecklare kommer att bli glada över är att Dries pratar om att byta versionsanteringssystem. CVS, som används för Drupalkoden i dag, har begränsningar och Dries nämner bland annat Git och bzr. (Själv kan jag erkänna att jag inte har någon vidare koll, men har ändå hört vad som sagts av andra.)

Tracrss provides a module and a page that allow multiple Trac servers (http://trac.edgewall.org/) to be queried for a list of open tickets. We use a separate trac for each of our projects and I was finding that people do not check for tickets in old projects. In this module the administrator can define any number of trac servers to check and then users provide their login in details and can open tickets on those servers will be displayed.

JCarousel for Views is a simple module for using JCarousel in Views.
This is heavily based on Views carousel, except that it is using JCarousel formatter framework as backend. Ideally, this module should not exist, and work will be undertaken to merge JCarousel formatter framework with jCarousel.

Någon som har bra tips på hur jag kan sätta ett eget tema på "Under av webbplatsen" sidan.
Har testat guider jag hittat, men sidan visar endast Nedkopplad-meddelande den verkar tappa all info i header m.m.

Tips på en bra lösning eller om någon varit med om liknande, så skulle jag vara tacksam för hjälp.
